This winter season, similar to what we have done in years past, Curtis has hosted a toy drive for those who may not be receiving gifts because off poor economic situations. Therefore, there is an effort to collect toys for children who are less fortunate and would otherwise not be able to receive gifts this Christmas. We pair up with the Toys for Tots organization that helps donate to families who are associated with the Marines. The science department helps promote the success of the drive by awarding extra credit to students who bring in a present. Ms. Holzer the AP of this department has helped continue this tradition and hand delivers them herself to the Toys for Tots headquarters. This year along with that, the Curtis Key Club hosted a movie night available to Curtis Key Club students and their families with a suggestible donation for the drive. Toys were donated by the Key Club’s sponsors, The Kiwanis.
