Club summit educates about all club opportunities

Annual club summit highlights activities.

Curtis High School’s annual Club Summit took place on October 22. Club members spoke about things going on in their clubs. Those who attended not only learned about other clubs, but also about other school and community service opportunities that are available to them. The summit was held in the library during 9th and 10th periods. It was organized and run by Joe Sicilian, the Coordinator of Student Activities and club advisor of S.O.

Each club was invited to send two representatives to speak about their club. Representatives briefly shared what their club’s purpose was, gave examples of club activities, and told when and where they meet. Clubs that attended included the Environmental Club, the Fashion Club, and the Asian Culture Club. Mr. Hepworth also introduced his new Dreamers Club for undocumented students, and Ms. Rodriguez discussed the Health Ambassadors and their upcoming projects.

“You get to know what other clubs exist and their accomplishments,” said Monica Segura, a representative for the Asian Culture Dance Club.

Paloma Zacarias, another student representing this club, added, “The Club Summit helps you become aware of what other clubs have to offer.”
