On February 4th Curtis held its thirteenth annual Swim-A-Thon, hosted by Diya Gupta and Sebastion David. This event was in honor and remembrance of Geroge Vinet, a former member of the Curtis community. Mr. Vinet was the boys swim coach for many years. Coach Vinet died of brain cancer at an early age.  All the proceeds of the Swim- A-Thon going to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer research. In total the event raised roughly one thousand dollars. The participants were members of both boys and girls varsity swim teams, friends and even some from Tech, Wagner, and  Petrides  swimmers. Despite  the frigid temperatures  outside,  around 25 swimmers took the plunge for a good cause.
