Girls tennis player Brianna Shaw has a remarkable season

    Junior Brianna Shaw had an amazing season in girls tennis. This past 2018-2019 season Shaw helped  the team to the best season they’ve ever played. This season the girls had a of 9-3 record.

    Shaw has been playing tennis since she was three years old and she had always wanted to go on to play in college. Tennis is one of her passions and she can’t get enough of it. Her father had sparked her passion for tennis because he has been her lifelong coach. She does have outside coaching from Coach Tom Carlson for the past three seasons and lessons at CSI.

“Since my freshman year of Curtis, I have played for girls singles.” During an interview with Briana Shaw she talked about this season and her rankings. “This season I placed fourth in PSAL Girls Tennis Individuals Championship and third in PSAL Girls Tennis Individuals. Next year will be my year!”

   She had also said that she wanted to work on was the mental side of the game. Shaw wants to improve on herself during her games to make sure she doesn’t psych herself out. Shaw is also junior class president and hopes to do just as well next year.
