Health Carnival promotes healthy choices

Health center event combines fun and fitness.

The health carnival took place March 25th in the cafeteria after period 10. The health carnival was sponsored by the Health Ambassadors. There was an entrance fee of $1 was donated to autism research.

As students entered the door they received either a chocolate covered Oreo or an autism puzzle piece chocolate. “Although I had to pay to get in I had a fun time making arts & crafts with my friends,” stated Terrie Reed.

In the health carnival there were many different stations. There was a photo booth, obstacle course, art & crafts table.

Just Dance,  the video game that requires physical activity, was a big hit and showed the importance of an active lifestyle. The game was  sponsored by the robotics team member Jamie Rogers.

The L.G.B.T. Center came to the health carnival and had a table to talk about upcoming events. “Being a part of the health carnival was awesome. I received community service for volunteering and I made some new friends,” Stated Onyea Troxler.
