On 9/11, 2001, the Twin Towers collapsed due to a horrific terrorist attack. Every year since, Curtis students have participated in a silent march from Curtis High School to the Postcard Memorial by Staten Island Yankee Stadium. The 9/11 walk is held to remember the Staten Islanders who died in the tragedy. One flower was given to each student to put on the silhouette of each deceased person. Although none of the students had yet been born when this catastrophe occurred, they still showed up to give their support.
