Hi,
I am Nirav Puntambekar, I am 15 years old and I enjoy anything related to food. I am studying in The Valley School K.F.I Bangalore, and as my IGCSE electives I passionately chose Food and Nutrition, this enhanced my interest towards food sciences. I have always been a curious learner and hence through observation achieved by watching my mother and grandmother’s cooking I walked into my initial exposure to food. Later during the pandemic along with my family we explored various cuisines and attempted to make them at home along with regional recipes.
I as an individual have never been fussy or picky about food unlike many of my peers. This is also how I come across exploring and discovering various cuisines and developing taste towards flavours unfamiliar to my primarily south and west indian exposure to flavour. I have always shown keen interest towards preparing and eating my hereditary food.
I would like to explore this as a topic since I have observed development towards food preferences getting rigid during adolescence. I would like to write an article primarily on how I experienced and developed interest in food as a teenager, this article will primarily involve my personal experiences but I would also like to explain the biological correlations to these food experiences.
